Criminals don’t recognise borders. EU prosecutors and judges will work together in investigation teams to bring them to justice.

The Joint Investigation Teams Collaboration Platform (JITs CP) will support the functioning of joint teams performing international criminal investigations in the EU, as well as globally.

Key features

  • JITs CP is expected to increase efficient communication among international criminal investigation team members, having a vast impact on the speed with which complex criminal investigations are handled by national authorities, as well as EU bodies, such as Eurojust;
  • Via the JITs CP, members will be able to exchange evidence and other critical information, necessary for ongoing investigations, in a secure manner;
  • Members will also have access to a secure communication channel and evaluate their JIT throughout its lifecycle;
  • JITs CP will connect with existing tools operated by various EU organisations, thus improving the exchange of critical information amongst them, and improving judicial and law enforcement processes in general.

JITs CP is scheduled to enter into operations on 7 December 2025.
